04/18/2006: "Pie rat"

You know how ninjas are often considered to have super-powers just because they're ninjas? Well for some time I've been thinking - what if that also applied to, say, pirates? You're a pirate: bamf! superpowers. What kind of crazy fictional world would that be?

I guess sort of like One Piece, but not.

I've done other sketches on this idea - some of them in the archives - but I believe this is the first I'm happy with. Thoguh some things would still need work before this was an acceptable main character for the concept. Like... the boots are boring. And many of the designs (headscarf, sword hilt, gloves, belt, etc.) need redesigning.
